27 At the end of these days, from the eighth day(A) on, the priests are to present your burnt offerings(B) and fellowship offerings(C) on the altar. Then I will accept you, declares the Sovereign Lord.”

The Priesthood Restored

44 Then the man brought me back to the outer gate of the sanctuary, the one facing east,(D) and it was shut. The Lord said to me, “This gate is to remain shut. It must not be opened; no one may enter through it.(E) It is to remain shut because the Lord, the God of Israel, has entered through it. The prince himself is the only one who may sit inside the gateway to eat in the presence(F) of the Lord. He is to enter by way of the portico of the gateway and go out the same way.(G)

Then the man brought me by way of the north gate(H) to the front of the temple. I looked and saw the glory of the Lord filling the temple(I) of the Lord, and I fell facedown.(J)

27 And when these days are expired, it shall be, that upon the eighth day, and so forward, the priests shall make your burnt offerings upon the altar, and your peace offerings; and I will accept you, saith the Lord God.

44 Then he brought me back the way of the gate of the outward sanctuary which looketh toward the east; and it was shut.

Then said the Lord unto me; This gate shall be shut, it shall not be opened, and no man shall enter in by it; because the Lord, the God of Israel, hath entered in by it, therefore it shall be shut.

It is for the prince; the prince, he shall sit in it to eat bread before the Lord; he shall enter by the way of the porch of that gate, and shall go out by the way of the same.

Then brought he me the way of the north gate before the house: and I looked, and, behold, the glory of the Lord filled the house of the Lord: and I fell upon my face.

27 (A)When these days are over it shall be, on the eighth day and thereafter, that the priests shall offer your burnt offerings and your peace offerings on the altar; and I will (B)accept you,’ says the Lord God.”

The East Gate and the Prince

44 Then He brought me back to the outer gate of the sanctuary (C)which faces toward the east, but it was shut. And the Lord said to me, “This gate shall be shut; it shall not be opened, and no man shall enter by it, (D)because the Lord God of Israel has entered by it; therefore it shall be shut. As for the (E)prince, because he is the prince, he may sit in it to (F)eat bread before the Lord; he shall enter by way of the vestibule of the gateway, and go out the same way.”

Those Admitted to the Temple

Also He brought me by way of the north gate to the front of the [a]temple; so I looked, and (G)behold, the glory of the Lord filled the house of the Lord; (H)and I fell on my face.
