7 Each recess was about 10 feet[a] long and 10 feet[b] deep, and there was a space of 8¾ feet[c] between the recesses. The inner threshold of the gate on the temple side next to the gate’s portico was about 10 feet.[d] 8 Next he measured the portico of the gate; 9 it[e] was 14 feet,[f] and its pilasters were 3½ feet.[g] The portico of the gate was on the temple side.
