Genesis 2:23-24

New International Version

²³The man said,

“This is now bone of my bones
and flesh of my flesh;^(A)
she shall be called^(B) ‘woman,’
for she was taken out of man.^(C)”

²⁴That is why a man leaves his father and mother and is united^(D) to his wife, and they become one flesh.^(E)

²⁴Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.
