²⁹ Then Jacob asked him, “Please tell me your name.” But he said, ^(A)“Why is it that you ask my name?” And there he blessed him.

¹⁴ God said to Moses, “I am who I am.”^[a] And he said, “Say this to the people of Israel: ^(A)‘I am has sent me to you.’”

¹⁸ And the angel of the Lord said to him, ^(A)“Why do you ask my name, seeing ^(B)it is wonderful?”
