15 Canaan was the father of[a] Sidon his firstborn,[b] Heth,[c] 16 the Jebusites,[d] Amorites,[e] Girgashites,[f] 17 Hivites,[g] Arkites,[h] Sinites,[i] 18 Arvadites,[j] Zemarites,[k] and Hamathites.[l] Eventually the families of the Canaanites were scattered 19 and the borders of Canaan extended[m] from Sidon all the way to[n] Gerar as far as Gaza, and all the way to[o] Sodom, Gomorrah, Admah, and Zeboyim, as far as Lasha.
