10 This is the report about Noah's sons, Shem, Ham and Japheth, and their families.

After the deep water went away, they all had children themselves.

²These are the sons of Japheth: Gomer, Magog, Madai, Javan, Tubal, Meshech and Tiras.

Genesis 10:2 Sons may mean descendants or successors or nations; also in verses 3, 4, 6, 7, 20-23, 29 and 31.
