¹⁸ So Abram moved his tent and went to live near the oaks of Mamre at Hebron,^(A) where he built an altar to the Lord.

Abraham’s Three Visitors

18 Then the Lord appeared to Abraham at the oaks of Mamre^(A) while he was sitting in the entrance of his tent during the heat of the day.

¹⁹ After this, Abraham buried his wife Sarah in the cave of the field at Machpelah near Mamre (that is, Hebron) in the land of Canaan.
