⁶ and the land could not support both of them living together because their possessions were so great that they could not live together.

¹¹ So Lot chose for himself all the plain of the Jordan, and Lot journeyed eastward, and they separated from each other.

⁸ And I will give to you and to your offspring after you the land where you are now an alien, all the land of Canaan, for a perpetual holding, and I will be their God.”^(A)

⁴ May he give to you the blessing of Abraham, to you and to your offspring with you, so that you may take possession of the land where you now live as an alien, land that God gave to Abraham.”^(A)
