³ Then Abraham arose from mourning before his dead, and spoke to the ^(A)sons of Heth, saying,

³⁴ When Esau was forty years old ^(A)he ^[a]married Judith the daughter of Beeri the Hittite, and Basemath the daughter of Elon the Hittite;

¹⁰ And Joshua said, “By this you will know that ^(A)the living God is among you, and that He will assuredly ^(B)drive out from you the Canaanite, the Hittite, the Hivite, the Perizzite, the Girgashite, the Amorite, and the Jebusite.

²⁹ A chariot ^[a]was imported from Egypt for six hundred shekels of silver, and a horse for 150; and ^[b]by the same means they exported them ^(A)to all the kings of the Hittites and to the kings of the Arameans.

⁶ For ^(A)the Lord had made the army of the Arameans hear a sound of chariots, a sound of horses, that is, the sound of a great army; and they said to one another, “Behold, the king of Israel has hired ^(B)the kings of the Hittites and ^(C)the kings of the Egyptians against us, to ^[a]attack us!”
