5 And the Hittites[a] answered Abraham and said to him, 6 “Hear us, my lord, you are a mighty prince[b] in our midst. Bury your dead in the choicest of our burial sites. None of us will withhold his burial site[c] from you for burying your dead.” 7 And Abraham rose up and bowed to the people of the land, to the Hittites.[d]

5 The Hittites replied to Abraham, 6 “Sir, listen to us. You are a mighty prince(A) among us. Bury your dead in the choicest of our tombs. None of us will refuse you his tomb for burying your dead.”

7 Then Abraham rose and bowed down before the people of the land, the Hittites.
