^7 (A)The Lord, the God of heaven, who took me from my father’s house and from the land of my birth, and who spoke to me and who swore to me, saying, ‘^(B)To your ^[a]descendants I will give this land’—He will send ^(C)His angel ahead of you, and you will take a wife for my son from there.

⁵ And it shall be when the Lord ^(A)brings you to the land of the Canaanite, the Hittite, the Amorite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite, which ^(B)He swore to your fathers to give you, a land flowing with milk and honey, ^(C)that you shall ^[a]perform this rite in this month.
