²⁵ Now the first came out red, ^(A)all over like a hairy garment; and they named him Esau. ²⁶ Afterward his brother came out with ^(B)his hand holding on to Esau’s heel, so ^(C)he was named ^[a]Jacob; and Isaac was ^(D)sixty years old when she gave birth to them.

²⁸ Then ^(A)he said, “Your name shall no longer be Jacob, but ^[a]Israel; for you have contended with God and with men, and have prevailed.”
