⁵⁰ If you afflict my daughters, or if you take wives besides my daughters, although no man is with us, see, ^(A)God is witness between ^[a]you and me.”

²³ because they have ^(A)acted with wicked foolishness in Israel and ^(B)have committed adultery with their neighbors’ wives and have ^(C)spoken words in My name falsely, which I did not command them; and I am He who ^(D)knows and am a witness,” declares Yahweh.’”

⁵ And they said to Jeremiah, “May ^(A)Yahweh be a true and faithful witness against us if we do not act in accordance with the whole ^[a]message with which Yahweh your God will send you to us.
