Adah bore (A)Eliphaz to Esau, and Basemath gave birth to Reuel, and Oholibamah gave birth to Jeush, Jalam, and Korah. These are the sons of Esau who were born to him in the land of Canaan.

(B)Then Esau took his wives, his sons, his daughters, and all [a]his household, and his livestock and all his cattle, and all his property which he had acquired in the land of Canaan, and went to another land away from his brother Jacob. (C)For their possessions had become too great for them to live together, and the (D)land where they (E)resided could not support them because of their livestock. So Esau lived in the hill country of (F)Seir; Esau is (G)Edom.

These then are the records of the generations of Esau the father of [b]the Edomites in the hill country of Seir. 10 These are the names of Esau’s sons: Eliphaz the son of Esau’s wife Adah, and Reuel the son of Esau’s wife Basemath.

Adah bore Eliphaz to Esau, Basemath bore Reuel,(A) and Oholibamah bore Jeush, Jalam and Korah.(B) These were the sons of Esau, who were born to him in Canaan.

Esau took his wives and sons and daughters and all the members of his household, as well as his livestock and all his other animals and all the goods he had acquired in Canaan,(C) and moved to a land some distance from his brother Jacob.(D) Their possessions were too great for them to remain together; the land where they were staying could not support them both because of their livestock.(E) So Esau(F) (that is, Edom)(G) settled in the hill country of Seir.(H)

This is the account(I) of the family line of Esau the father of the Edomites(J) in the hill country of Seir.
