7 He left because the land where he and Jacob were living was not able to support them; they had too much livestock and could no longer stay together. 8 So Esau lived in the hill country of Edom.
9 These are the descendants of Esau, the ancestor of the Edomites.

7 Their possessions were too great for them to remain together; the land where they were staying could not support them both because of their livestock.(A) 8 So Esau(B) (that is, Edom)(C) settled in the hill country of Seir.(D)
9 This is the account(E) of the family line of Esau the father of the Edomites(F) in the hill country of Seir.
