7 He did this because they had too many possessions to live together. There wasn’t enough pastureland for all of their livestock. 8 So Esau, who was also known as Edom, lived in the mountains of Seir.
9 This is the account of Esau and his descendants. He was the father of the people of Edom in the mountains of Seir.

7 Their possessions were too great for them to remain together; the land where they were staying could not support them both because of their livestock.(A) 8 So Esau(B) (that is, Edom)(C) settled in the hill country of Seir.(D)
9 This is the account(E) of the family line of Esau the father of the Edomites(F) in the hill country of Seir.
