Genesis 37:33-35

33 Their father recognized it at once.
“Yes,” he sobbed, “it is my son’s coat. A wild animal has eaten him. Joseph is without doubt torn in pieces.”
34 Then Israel tore his garments and put on sackcloth and mourned for his son in deepest mourning for many weeks. 35 His family all tried to comfort him, but it was no use.
“I will die in mourning for my son,” he would say, and then break down and cry.

New International Version
33 He recognized it and said, “It is my son’s robe! Some ferocious animal(A) has devoured him. Joseph has surely been torn to pieces.”(B)
34 Then Jacob tore his clothes,(C) put on sackcloth(D) and mourned for his son many days.(E) 35 All his sons and daughters came to comfort him,(F) but he refused to be comforted.(G) “No,” he said, “I will continue to mourn until I join my son(H) in the grave.(I)” So his father wept for him.
