2 When someone told Jacob, saying, “Behold, your son Joseph has come to you,” Israel summoned his strength and sat up in the bed.
3 Then Jacob said to Joseph, “El Shaddai appeared to me in Luz, in the land of Canaan, and blessed me.” 4 He said to me, ‘I am going to make you fruitful and multiply you and turn you into an assembly of peoples, and I will give this land to your seed after you as an everlasting possession.’

2 When Jacob was told, “Your son Joseph has come to you,” Israel(A) rallied his strength and sat up on the bed.
3 Jacob said to Joseph, “God Almighty[a](B) appeared to me at Luz(C) in the land of Canaan, and there he blessed me(D) 4 and said to me, ‘I am going to make you fruitful and increase your numbers.(E) I will make you a community of peoples, and I will give this land(F) as an everlasting possession to your descendants after you.’(G)
