²³ and saw the third generation^(A) of Ephraim’s^(B) children.^(C) Also the children of Makir^(D) son of Manasseh^(E) were placed at birth on Joseph’s knees.^[a](F)

²⁴ Then Joseph said to his brothers, “I am about to die.^(G) But God will surely come to your aid^(H) and take you up out of this land to the land^(I) he promised on oath to Abraham,^(J) Isaac^(K) and Jacob.”^{(L) 25} And Joseph made the Israelites swear an oath^(M) and said, “God will surely come to your aid, and then you must carry my bones^(N) up from this place.”^(O)

²⁶ So Joseph died^(P) at the age of a hundred and ten.^(Q) And after they embalmed him,^(R) he was placed in a coffin in Egypt.
