^15 (A)And he divided ^[a]his men against them by night, he and his servants, and struck them and pursued them as far as Hobah, which is ^[b]north of ^(B)Damascus.

² And Abram said, “O Lord Yahweh, what will You give me, as I go on being childless, and the ^[a]heir of my house is Eliezer of Damascus?”

¹² Are not ^[a]Abanah and Pharpar, the rivers of Damascus, better than all the waters of Israel? Could I not wash in them and be clean?” So he turned and ^(A)went away in wrath.

² Then Asa brought out silver and gold from the treasuries of the house of Yahweh and the king’s house, and sent them to Ben-hadad king of Aram, who lived in Damascus, saying,

³ Thus says Yahweh,

² and asked for ^(A)letters from him to ^(B)the synagogues at ^(C)Damascus, so that if he found any belonging to ^(D)the Way, both men and women, he might bring them bound to Jerusalem.
