Genesis 30:30-32
New English Translation
30 Indeed,[a] you had little before I arrived,[b] but now your possessions have increased many times over.[c] The Lord has blessed you wherever I worked.[d] But now, how long must it be before I do something for my own family too?”[e]
31 So Laban asked,[f] “What should I give you?” “You don’t need to give me a thing,”[g] Jacob replied,[h] “but if you agree to this one condition,[i] I will continue to care for[j] your flocks and protect them: 32 Let me walk among[k] all your flocks today and remove from them every speckled or spotted sheep, every dark-colored lamb,[l] and the spotted or speckled goats.[m] These animals will be my wages.[n]
