Habakkuk 3:10-15
English Standard Version
10 (A)The mountains saw you and writhed;
the raging waters swept on;
(B)the deep gave forth its voice;
(C)it lifted its hands on high.
11 (D)The sun and moon stood still in their place
(E)at the light of your arrows as they sped,
at the flash of your glittering spear.
12 (F)You marched through the earth in fury;
(G)you threshed the nations in anger.
13 (H)You went out for the salvation of your people,
for the salvation of (I)your anointed.
(J)You crushed the head of the house of the wicked,
laying him bare from thigh to neck.[a] Selah
14 You pierced with his own arrows the heads of his warriors,
who came like a whirlwind to scatter me,
rejoicing as if to devour the poor in secret.
15 (K)You trampled the sea with your horses,
the surging of mighty waters.

Torrents of water swept by;
the deep roared(B)
and lifted its waves(C) on high.
11 Sun and moon stood still(D) in the heavens
at the glint of your flying arrows,(E)
at the lightning(F) of your flashing spear.
12 In wrath you strode through the earth
and in anger you threshed(G) the nations.
13 You came out(H) to deliver(I) your people,
to save your anointed(J) one.
You crushed(K) the leader of the land of wickedness,
you stripped him from head to foot.
14 With his own spear you pierced his head
when his warriors stormed out to scatter us,(L)
gloating as though about to devour
the wretched(M) who were in hiding.
15 You trampled the sea(N) with your horses,
churning the great waters.(O)
