8 Yes, all the silver and gold in the world belongs to me. And I promise you this: 9 This new temple will be even more beautiful than the old temple in past times. Here in this place I will bless my people.’ That is what the Almighty Lord says.

10 The Lord spoke again to Haggai, his prophet, on the 24th day of the ninth month, in the second year since Darius had become king. This was the Lord's message:

8 ‘The silver is mine and the gold(A) is mine,’ declares the Lord Almighty. 9 ‘The glory(B) of this present house(C) will be greater than the glory of the former house,’ says the Lord Almighty. ‘And in this place I will grant peace,(D)’ declares the Lord Almighty.”

10 On the twenty-fourth day of the ninth month,(E) in the second year of Darius, the word of the Lord came to the prophet Haggai:
