Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high:

Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.

The Son is the radiance of God’s glory(A) and the exact representation of his being,(B) sustaining all things(C) by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins,(D) he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.(E) So he became as much superior to the angels as the name he has inherited is superior to theirs.(F)
