Hebrews 5:5

⁵So also Christ glorified not himself to be made an high priest; but he that said unto him, Thou art my Son, to day have I begotten thee.

⁵In the same way, Christ did not take on himself the glory^(A) of becoming a high priest.^(B) But God said^(C) to him,

“You are my Son;
today I have become your Father.”^[a]^(D)

⁶And Samuel said unto the people, It is the Lord that advanced Moses and Aaron, and that brought your fathers up out of the land of Egypt.

⁶Then Samuel said to the people, “It is the Lord who appointed Moses and Aaron and brought^(A) your ancestors up out of Egypt.
