4 By faith Abel offered God a greater sacrifice than Cain, and through his faith[a] he was commended as righteous, because God commended him for his offerings. And through his faith[b] he still speaks, though he is dead.

4 By faith Abel brought God a better offering than Cain did. By faith he was commended(A) as righteous, when God spoke well of his offerings.(B) And by faith Abel still speaks, even though he is dead.(C)
