¹⁴ Therefore, since the children share in ^[a](A)flesh and blood, ^(B)He Himself likewise also partook of the same, so that ^(C)through death He might destroy ^(D)the one who has the power of death, that is, the devil, ¹⁵ and free those who through ^(E)fear of death were subject to slavery all their lives.

⁵ Therefore, ^(A)when He comes into the world, He says,

¹⁰ By ^[a]this will, we have been ^(A)sanctified through ^(B)the offering of ^(C)the body of Jesus Christ ^(D)once for all time.

⁶ who, as He already ^(A)existed in the ^(B)form of God, ^(C)did not consider equality with God something to be ^[a]grasped, ⁷ but ^[b](D)emptied Himself by taking the form of a ^(E)bond-servant and ^[c](F)being born in the likeness of men.

²⁴ and He Himself ^[a](A)brought our sins in His body up on the ^[b](B)cross, so that we ^(C)might die to ^[c]sin and live for righteousness; ^(D)by His ^[d]wounds you were ^(E)healed.
