10 Christ has already entered there. He is resting from his work, just as God did after the creation. 11 Let us do our best to go into that place of rest, too, being careful not to disobey God as the children of Israel did, thus failing to get in.

12 For whatever God says to us is full of living power: it is sharper than the sharpest dagger, cutting swift and deep into our innermost thoughts and desires with all their parts, exposing us for what we really are.

10 for anyone who enters God’s rest also rests from their works,[a](A) just as God did from his.(B) 11 Let us, therefore, make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will perish by following their example of disobedience.(C)

12 For the word of God(D) is alive(E) and active.(F) Sharper than any double-edged sword,(G) it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.(H)
