Hebrews 8:5-7

Darby Translation

⁵(who serve the representation and shadow of heavenly things, according as Moses was oracularly told [when] about to make the tabernacle; for See, saith He, that thou make all things according to the pattern which has been shewn to thee in the mountain.)

⁶But now he has got a more excellent ministry, by so much as he is mediator of a better covenant, which is established on the footing of better promises.

⁷For if that first was faultless, place had not been sought for a second.

⁵They serve at a sanctuary that is a copy^(A) and shadow^(B) of what is in heaven. This is why Moses was warned^(C) when he was about to build the tabernacle: “See to it that you make everything according to the pattern shown you on the mountain.”^[a]^(D) ⁶But in fact the ministry Jesus has received is as superior to theirs as the covenant^(E) of which he is mediator^(F) is superior to the old one, since the new covenant is established on better promises.
