5 Above it were (A)the cherubim of glory overshadowing (B)the mercy seat. Of these things we cannot now speak in detail.
6 These preparations having thus been made, (C)the priests go regularly into the first section, performing their ritual duties, 7 but into the second only (D)the high priest goes, and he but (E)once a year, and not without taking blood, (F)which he offers for himself and for the unintentional sins of the people.

5 Above the ark were the cherubim of the Glory,(A) overshadowing the atonement cover.(B) But we cannot discuss these things in detail now.
6 When everything had been arranged like this, the priests entered regularly(C) into the outer room to carry on their ministry. 7 But only the high priest entered(D) the inner room,(E) and that only once a year,(F) and never without blood,(G) which he offered for himself(H) and for the sins the people had committed in ignorance.(I)
