9 I will not execute my burning anger;
I will not again destroy Ephraim;
(A)for I am God and not a man,
(B)the Holy One in your midst,
and I will not come in wrath.[a]
10 (C)They shall go after the Lord;
(D)he will roar like a lion;
when he roars,
his children shall come trembling (E)from the west;
11 they shall come trembling like birds (F)from Egypt,
and (G)like doves (H)from the land of Assyria,
and I will return them to their homes, declares the Lord.

For I am God, and not a man(C)—

I will not come against their cities.
10 They will follow the Lord;

When he roars,

11 They will come from Egypt,
trembling like sparrows,
from Assyria,(I) fluttering like doves.(J)
I will settle them in their homes,”(K)
