14 Give them, O Lord—
what will you give?
Give them (A)a miscarrying womb
and dry breasts.
15 Every evil of theirs is in (B)Gilgal;
there I began to hate them.
Because of the wickedness of their deeds
I will drive them out of my house.
I will love them no more;
all (C)their princes are (D)rebels.
16 Ephraim is stricken;
(E)their root is dried up;
they shall bear no fruit.
Even (F)though they give birth,
(G)I will put their beloved children to death.
17 (H)My God will reject them
because they have not listened to him;
(I)they shall be wanderers among the nations.

I hated them there.
Because of their sinful deeds,(C)
I will drive them out of my house.
I will no longer love them;(D)
all their leaders are rebellious.(E)
16 Ephraim(F) is blighted,
their root is withered,
they yield no fruit.(G)
Even if they bear children,
I will slay(H) their cherished offspring.”
