¹⁴ They are now dead,^(A) they live no more;
    their spirits^(B) do not rise.
You punished them and brought them to ruin;^(C)
    you wiped out all memory of them.^(D)

¹⁵ and further, that his anger never punishes^(A)
    and he does not take the least notice of wickedness.^[a](B)

⁷ The days of punishment^(A) are coming,
    the days of reckoning^(B) are at hand.
    Let Israel know this.
Because your sins^(C) are so many
    and your hostility so great,
