Isaiah 17:2-4
International Standard Version
2 The cities of Oraru[a] will be deserted—
they will be devoted to herds that will lay at rest,
and terrorism will be no more.[b]
3 The fortress will disappear from Ephraim,
and royal authority from Damascus;[c]
the survivors[d] from Aram[e] will be like the glory of the Israelis,”
declares the Lord of the Heavenly Armies.

4 “At that time,[f] Jacob’s glory will have become weakened,
and his strong[g] flesh will turn gaunt;

New International Version
2 The cities of Aroer(A) will be deserted
and left to flocks,(B) which will lie down,(C)
with no one to make them afraid.(D)
3 The fortified(E) city will disappear from Ephraim,
and royal power from Damascus;
the remnant of Aram will be
like the glory(F) of the Israelites,”(G)
declares the Lord Almighty.
