¹⁰I said: In the noontide of my days
I must depart;
I am consigned to the gates of Sheol
for the rest of my years.^(A)

New International Version

¹⁰I said, “In the prime of my life^(A)
must I go through the gates of death^(B)
and be robbed of the rest of my years?^(C)”

¹¹Do not lag in zeal; be ardent in spirit; serve the Lord.

¹¹Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor,^(A) serving the Lord.

²³Whatever task you must do, work as if your soul depends on it, as for the Lord and not for humans,

²³Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters,
