10 and if thou [a]draw out thy soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul: then shall thy light rise in darkness, and thine obscurity be as the noonday; 11 and Jehovah will guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in [b]dry places, and make strong thy bones; and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not. 12 And they that shall be of thee shall build the old waste places; thou shalt raise up the foundations of many generations; and thou shalt be called The repairer of the breach, The restorer of paths to dwell in.

10 and if you spend yourselves in behalf of the hungry
and satisfy the needs of the oppressed,(A)
then your light(B) will rise in the darkness,
and your night will become like the noonday.(C)
11 The Lord will guide(D) you always;
he will satisfy your needs(E) in a sun-scorched land(F)
and will strengthen(G) your frame.
You will be like a well-watered garden,(H)
like a spring(I) whose waters never fail.
12 Your people will rebuild the ancient ruins(J)
and will raise up the age-old foundations;(K)
you will be called Repairer of Broken Walls,(L)
Restorer of Streets with Dwellings.
