20 To the [a](A)Law and to the testimony! If they do not speak in accordance with this word, it is because (B)they have no dawn. 21 They will pass through [b]the land (C)dejected and hungry, and it will turn out that when they are hungry, they will become enraged and curse [c]their king and their God as they face upward. 22 Then they will (D)look to the earth, and behold, distress and darkness, the gloom of anguish; and they will be (E)driven away into darkness.

11 The entire vision will be to you like the words of a sealed [a](C)book, which, when they give it to the one who [b]is literate, saying, “Please read this,” he will say, “I cannot, because it is sealed.” 12 Then the [c]book will be given to the one who [d]is illiterate, saying, “Please read this.” And he will say, “I [e]cannot read.”

And if you give the scroll to someone who can read, and say, “Read this, please,” they will answer, “I can’t; it is sealed.” 12 Or if you give the scroll to someone who cannot read, and say, “Read this, please,” they will answer, “I don’t know how to read.”
