“My servants will eat,^(A)
    but you will go hungry;^(B)
my servants will drink,^(C)
    but you will go thirsty;^(D)
my servants will rejoice,^(E)
    but you will be put to shame.^(F)
14 My servants will sing^(G)
    out of the joy of their hearts,
but you will cry out^(H)
    from anguish of heart
    and wail in brokenness of spirit.

    for my chosen ones to use in their curses;^(I)
the Sovereign Lord will put you to death,
    but to his servants he will give another name.^(J)

⁹ “Many times I struck your gardens and vineyards,
    destroying them with blight and mildew.^(A)
Locusts^(B) devoured your fig and olive trees,^(C)
    yet you have not returned^(D) to me,”
declares the Lord.

¹⁰ “I sent plagues^(E) among you
    as I did to Egypt.^(F)
I killed your young men^(G) with the sword,
    along with your captured horses.
I filled your nostrils with the stench^(H) of your camps,
    yet you have not returned to me,”^(I)
