19 By the (A)wrath of the Lord of armies the (B)land is burned,
And the (C)people are like fuel for the fire;
No (D)one spares his brother.
20 [a]They devour what is on the right hand but are still (E)hungry,
And [b]they eat what is on the left hand, but they are not satisfied;
Each of them eats the (F)flesh of his own arm.

And there is no upright person among mankind.
All of them lie in wait for (B)bloodshed;
Each of them hunts the other with a (C)net.
As for evil, both hands do it (D)well.
The leader asks for a (E)bribe, also the judge,

Do not have confidence in a close friend.
Guard [c]your lips
From her who lies [d]in your arms.
For (K)son disavows father,
Daughter rises up against her mother,
Daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law;
(L)A person’s enemies are the people of his own household.
