The Blindness of the People

⁴ Then Jonah began to go through the city one day’s walk; and he ^(A)cried out and said, “Yet forty days and Nineveh will be overthrown.”

¹⁰ When God saw their deeds, that they ^(A)turned from their wicked way, then ^(B)God relented concerning the calamity which He had declared He would ^[a]bring upon them. And He did not do it.

^9 (A)The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but ^(B)is patient toward you, ^(C)not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance.

¹⁵ and regard the ^(A)patience of our Lord as salvation; just as also ^(B)our beloved brother Paul, ^(C)according to the wisdom given him, wrote to you,
