¹¹ “‘For this is what the Sovereign Lord says: I myself will search for my sheep^(A) and look after them. ¹² As a shepherd^(B) looks after his scattered flock when he is with them, so will I look after my sheep. I will rescue them from all the places where they were scattered on a day of clouds and darkness.^{(C) 13} I will bring them out from the nations and gather^(D) them from the countries, and I will bring them into their own land.^(E) I will pasture them on the mountains of Israel, in the ravines and in all the settlements in the land.^(F)

¹¹ I say to you that many will come from the east and the west,^(A) and will take their places at the feast with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven.^(B)

¹² But the subjects of the kingdom^(A) will be thrown outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”^(B)

³² And I, when I am lifted up^[a] from the earth,^(A) will draw all people to myself.”^(B)

³⁴ Then Peter began to speak: “I now realize how true it is that God does not show favoritism^{(A) 35} but accepts from every nation the one who fears him and does what is right.^(B)

²⁵ For “you were like sheep going astray,”^[a](A) but now you have returned to the Shepherd^(B) and Overseer of your souls.^(C)
