James 4:6

⁶But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.

⁶But he gives us more grace. That is why Scripture says:

“God opposes the proud
but shows favor to the humble.”^[a]^(A)

²⁹For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath.

²⁹For whoever has will be given more, and they will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what they have will be taken from them.^(A)
