New King James Version

¹³For ^(A)judgment is without mercy to the one who has shown ^(B)no ^(C)mercy. ^(D)Mercy triumphs over judgment.

New International Version

¹³because judgment without mercy will be shown to anyone who has not been merciful.^(A) Mercy triumphs over judgment.

²⁸And now, little children, abide in Him, that ^[a]when He appears, we may have ^(A)confidence and not be ashamed before Him at His coming.

²⁸And now, dear children,^(A) continue in him, so that when he appears^(B) we may be confident^(C) and unashamed before him at his coming.^(D)
