You have lived on earth in luxury and self-indulgence. You have fattened yourselves(A) in the day of slaughter.[a](B) You have condemned and murdered(C) the innocent one,(D) who was not opposing you.

Patience in Suffering

Be patient, then, brothers and sisters, until the Lord’s coming.(E) See how the farmer waits for the land to yield its valuable crop, patiently waiting(F) for the autumn and spring rains.(G) You too, be patient and stand firm, because the Lord’s coming(H) is near.(I)
