7 And the anger of the Lord was hot against Israel, and he sold them into the hands of the Philistines, and into the hands of the children of Ammon.
8 And that year they vexed and oppressed the children of Israel: eighteen years, all the children of Israel that were on the other side Jordan in the land of the Amorites, which is in Gilead.
9 Moreover the children of Ammon passed over Jordan to fight also against Judah, and against Benjamin, and against the house of Ephraim; so that Israel was sore distressed.

New International Version
7 he became angry(A) with them. He sold them(B) into the hands of the Philistines and the Ammonites, 8 who that year shattered and crushed them. For eighteen years they oppressed all the Israelites on the east side of the Jordan in Gilead,(C) the land of the Amorites. 9 The Ammonites also crossed the Jordan to fight against Judah,(D) Benjamin and Ephraim;(E) Israel was in great distress.

7 So the anger of the Lord was hot against Israel; and He (A)sold them into the hands of the (B)Philistines and into the hands of the people of (C)Ammon. 8 From that year they [a]harassed and oppressed the children of Israel for eighteen years—all the children of Israel who were on the other side of the Jordan in the (D)land of the Amorites, in Gilead. 9 Moreover the people of Ammon crossed over the Jordan to fight against Judah also, against Benjamin, and against the house of Ephraim, so that Israel was severely distressed.
