11 Therefore, thus says the Lord, Behold, I am bringing disaster upon them that they cannot escape. (A)Though they cry to me, I will not listen to them. 12 Then the cities of Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem (B)will go and cry to the gods to whom they make offerings, (C)but they cannot save them in the time of their trouble. 13 (D)For your gods have become as many as your cities, O Judah, and as many as the streets of Jerusalem are the altars you have set up to shame, (E)altars to make offerings to Baal.

11 Therefore this is what the Lord says: ‘I will bring on them a disaster(A) they cannot escape.(B) Although they cry(C) out to me, I will not listen(D) to them. 12 The towns of Judah and the people of Jerusalem will go and cry out to the gods to whom they burn incense,(E) but they will not help them at all when disaster(F) strikes. 13 You, Judah, have as many gods(G) as you have towns;(H) and the altars you have set up to burn incense(I) to that shameful(J) god Baal are as many as the streets of Jerusalem.’
