Jeremiah 21:13-14

13 “Behold, (A)I am against you, O [a]inhabitant of the valley,
And rock of the plain,” says the Lord,
“Who say, (B)‘Who shall come down against us?
Or who shall enter our dwellings?’
14 But I will punish you according to the (C)fruit of your [b]doings,” says the Lord;
“I will kindle a fire in its forest,
And (D)it shall devour all things around it.” ’ ”

you who live above this valley(B)
on the rocky plateau, declares the Lord—
you who say, “Who can come against us?
Who can enter our refuge?”(C)
14 I will punish you as your deeds(D) deserve,
declares the Lord.

that will consume everything around you.’”
