Jeremiah 22:5

⁵But if you will not obey these words, I ^(A)swear by myself, declares the Lord, that ^(B)this house shall become a desolation.

Jeremiah 22:5

New International Version

⁵But if you do not obey^(A) these commands, declares the Lord, I swear^(B) by myself that this palace will become a ruin.’”

⁶For thus says the Lord concerning the house of the king of Judah:

“‘You are like Gilead to me,
like the summit of ^(A)Lebanon,
yet surely I will make you a desert,
^(B)an uninhabited city.^[a]

⁶For this is what the Lord says about the palace of the king of Judah:

“Though you are like Gilead^(A) to me,
like the summit of Lebanon,^(B)
I will surely make you like a wasteland,^(C)
like towns not inhabited.
