39 I will give them singleness of heart and singleness of purpose, so that they will fear me forever — this will be for their own good and for the good of their children after them. 40 I will make with them an everlasting covenant not to turn away from them, but to do them good; I will put fear of me in their hearts, so that they will not leave me. 41 I will take joy in them, so as to do them good. I will plant them in this land truly, with my whole heart and being.’

39 I will give them singleness(A) of heart and action, so that they will always fear(B) me and that all will then go well for them and for their children after them. 40 I will make an everlasting covenant(C) with them: I will never stop doing good to them, and I will inspire(D) them to fear me, so that they will never turn away from me.(E) 41 I will rejoice(F) in doing them good(G) and will assuredly plant(H) them in this land with all my heart and soul.(I)
