36 A sword against the diviners,
so that they may become fools!
A sword against her warriors,
so that they may be destroyed!
37 A sword against her[a] horses and against her[b] chariots,
and against all the foreign troops in her midst,
so that they may become women!
A sword against all her treasures,
that they may be plundered!
38 A drought[c] against her waters,
that they may be dried up!
For it is a land of images,
and they go mad over idols.

They will become fools.
A sword against her warriors!(A)
They will be filled with terror.(B)
37 A sword against her horses and chariots(C)
and all the foreigners in her ranks!
They will become weaklings.(D)
A sword against her treasures!(E)
They will be plundered.
38 A drought on[a] her waters!(F)
They will dry(G) up.
For it is a land of idols,(H)
idols that will go mad with terror.
